Taege Drills and Tyre Rollers have landed in the UK yesterday, come and see this unique zero tillage drill first at the Midland Machinery Show.
Computerised sponge metering system is standard on all models which provides fast, easy and accurate calibration without the risk of seed damage. Come and find us at the Midland Machinery Show in Newark on the 20th & 21st November, stand L9.
Teage Engineering manufacture a range of narrow point direct drill seeders that perform in the rugged conditions of Australia. Derek Genoni, Managing Director of Australian distributor Gendore Group explained:
“Taege’s seeder design is unique, with tungsten points mounted to vibrating ‘S’ tynes that are set on a specific angle to ensure the tyne buries itself in the ground. The tyne goes up and down over contours independently of the frame, jumping rocks and following banks and hollows in a way that other tyne drills simply can’t achieve.
It cuts through trash and hard compacted ground to plant the seed at a consistent depth, creating the perfect seed bed for superior germination and moisture retention.”
Designed primarily for pasture renovation, the seeders can also sow cereal crops, handling rates from 600 g/ha for fine seed up to 200 kg/ha with fertiliser.
“The major advantage is its ability to change rates on the run without leaving the tractor seat; a huge advantage when seeding over differing soil types.”
Mr Genoni said working speed over the paddock could be up to 25 per cent faster with a Taege.
“You can only do that with a machine that follows the contours,” he said. “It is an exceptionally good product, designed to deliver superior performance in all conditions.”
